Tristan Brown

Senior Machine Learning Researcher at Seer

Tristan Brown has a strong background in machine learning, data engineering, bioinformatics, and research. Tristan is currently working at Seer as a Senior Machine Learning Researcher, where they have held various roles since 2020. Prior to that, they worked at NRG Energy as a Data Engineer, where they developed and implemented ETL pipelines and utilized Docker containers and Kubernetes for deployment. Tristan also worked at Genialis as a Bioinformatician, where they created processes for uploading and annotating large volumes of NGS data and scripted artificial bioinformatics datasets. Tristan started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they conducted research on NH3 fuel cells and utilized DFT calculations and Python scripting for data analysis. Tristan also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant during their time at the university. Tristan began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the California Institute of Technology, where they conducted research on cytochrome P450 variants and utilized Lisp scripting and X-ray crystallography for data analysis.

Tristan Brown began their education journey in 2007, attending Caltech where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry. Tristan successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2011. Subsequently, Tristan furthered their education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2011 to 2017. During this period, they pursued and successfully obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Inorganic Chemistry.
