Jennie Chu's work experience includes various roles in different companies. Jennie started their career at the Ronald E. McNair Undergraduate Fellowship in 2013, where they worked as a McNair Scholar, conducting research on using magnetism in stone artifacts for chronological dating. Jennie then joined Carleton College in 2012 as a Mellon Mays Fellow and Student Researcher, focusing on a two-year independent research project on the Coast Range River Basalt. After that, they joined the Schuler Scholar Program in 2014 as a Math Scholar Coach. In 2015, they became an Educational Advisor at Pact, Inc, where they managed a caseload of around 300 project participants and assessed their needs. Jennie then joined Seesaw Learning in 2017 as a Software Engineer, contributing to the development of their student-driven digital portfolio platform. Jennie later moved up to the position of Tech Lead, responsible for guiding the technical direction of the team. In 2021, they became an Engineering Manager at Seesaw.
Jennie Chu attended Raoul Wallenberg Traditional Highschool from 2006 to 2010, where they received their Highschool Diploma. Following that, they pursued their bachelor's degree at Carleton College from 2010 to 2014. Jennie graduated with a B.A. cum laude in Geology/Earth Science, General.
