Michelle Leirer has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Michelle started their career as a 6th Grade Reading and Language Arts Teacher at Teach For America in 2008. Michelle then worked as an Office Manager/Recruiting Coordinator at Slide, where they organized and maintained workplace facilities and assisted the HR Director with recruiting and other HR duties.

In 2010, Michelle joined Eventbrite as a Recruiter, later transitioning to the role of an HR Generalist, and eventually becoming a Global HR Business Partner. At Eventbrite, they gained experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and business partnership.

In 2015, Michelle joined Animoto as the Head of People, responsible for creating an environment where employees could flourish and do their best work. Later, they took on the role of VP of People, leading the People Team dedicated to supporting all employees and celebrating their individuality.

Currently, Michelle works as the VP of People at Seesaw Learning, an organization focused on promoting student engagement and creativity in the learning process. Their role involves encouraging creativity, expression, and feedback to foster excitement and motivation among students.

Overall, Michelle has a strong background in HR, with a particular emphasis on people management, employee engagement, and creating inclusive work environments.

Michelle Leirer (She/Her) earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science, Psychology from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. In 2017, they participated in the Co-Active Coaching Certification Program offered by the Co-Active Training Institute. Furthermore, Michelle Leirer obtained a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in April 2014.
