Alexandros Korkovelos is a Senior Officer for Energy Planning at Sustainable Energy for All, providing technical assistance for rural electrification efforts in Zambia and supporting the development of integrated net-zero plans in Sierra Leone. With experience as a Geospatial Data Analyst and Energy Access Specialist at The World Bank, Alexandros has contributed to electrification projects across numerous countries. Previous roles include a Research Associate position at Imperial College London, where Alexandros was involved in electrification planning, and as an Independent Consultant for the International Energy Agency and the United Nations, focusing on electrification analysis and GIS integration. Alexandros holds a PhD in Energy Systems Analysis and multiple master's degrees in Sustainable Energy Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, along with an engineering degree in Production Systems.
