Energy Planning Specialist at SEforALL

Cristina Dominguez is an accomplished energy planning specialist with extensive experience in sustainable energy research and project management. Currently, Cristina works at Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) since January 2023, following a role as a research and project management consultant at Climate Compatible Growth, where significant contributions were made to develop an integrated geospatial model for identifying rural infrastructure solutions in Kenya. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral researcher position at Empa and a research intern role at TECNALIA Research & Innovation, focusing on the assessment of urban transformation strategies in European cities. As a civil engineer at Odebrecht, Cristina designed and supervised the construction of bridges and conducted hydrological studies. Additionally, experience as a lead researcher at Universidad del Valle de Guatemala involved developing a wave energy generation prototype. Cristina holds a PhD in Sustainable Energy Access from ETH Zürich and multiple master's degrees in management and engineering of environment and energy.
