Senior Engineer - Power Electronics at SEG Automotive

Samant Singh is a Senior Engineer in Power Electronics at SEG Automotive since April 2022, specializing in algorithm design support for field-oriented control, maximum torque per ampere, regenerative braking, and field weakening for interior permanent magnet synchronous motors, alongside three-phase driver and DC-DC auxiliary power supply design. Previously, Samant served as a Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar, focusing on sensorless control of switched reluctance motor drives for electric vehicles, and as a Research Scholar at the National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand, where techniques for impedance source inverters were developed. Additional experience includes a project on solar E-rickshaw control with a bidirectional DC-DC converter, funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Samant holds a Master of Technology in Power Electronics from the National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University.
