Allison Tabiando has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Allison began their career as an Account Sales Executive at The Zoi in 2008. Following that, they interned at Gruman & Nicoll Public Relations, where they gained experience in public relations and social media for multiple consumer businesses. In 2011, they joined Barokas Public Relations as a Public Relations Intern and worked their way up to Assistant Account Executive and eventually Senior Account Executive. At Barokas, they led communications strategy, content development, and media and analyst relations. In 2014, Allison joined Kumon as a Classroom/Office assistant and received training in math and reading education. Allison then joined Snohomish County, WA as a Communications Specialist II, where they provided various marcom services and acted as the Public Information Officer for the Department of Emergency Management when needed. Allison's next job was at Seattle Children's as a Senior Communications Specialist, where they managed Digital Health and Seattle Mama Doc content and handled public and media relations. In 2017, they became a Founding Member of Fran Nordstrom Guild 2.0 for Seattle Children's, a non-profit fundraising network. Allison also had a brief period as a Freelancer before joining SEIU 775 as a Communications Specialist. Allison later became the Manager, and then the Interim Director of Communications and Marketing, overseeing communications efforts related to legislative policies and leading the in-language translation program. Their most recent role is Deputy Director of Communications and Marketing at SEIU 775, where they continue to contribute their expertise.

Allison Tabiando has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication with a focus on Communication & Culture and Public Relations from the University of Washington. Allison also attended the School of Visual Concepts Seattle, where they studied Public Relations. In April 2016, they obtained a certification as a Public Information Officer (PIO) in Emergency Management from FEMA.
