Amber Smith

Amber Smith is an experienced organizer with a demonstrated history of advocacy and community engagement. Currently serving as an Organizer at SEIU Healthcare 1199NW since April 2015, Amber has previously worked as a Field Organizer for Greenpeace, focusing on promoting protections for the Bering Sea, and held similar roles with the Obama for America campaign and Grassroots Voter Outreach. Details of prior experience include serving as the NC Senior Campaign Assistant for Appalachian Voices, where responsibilities involved directing volunteer events and coordinating campaigns. Amber began a professional career in sales as an Advertising Sales Representative for High Country Press, significantly increasing revenue. Amber holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Choreography and Performance from Elon University, and has international study experience.
