Teneya Johnson is an experienced union leader currently serving as the Local-Wide Field Director at SEIU Local 521 since January 2013. With a focus on negotiating agreements between the union and employers, Johnson has successfully developed training programs for shop stewards and activists, created coalitions for immigration reform, and managed strategic organizing plans in Tulare and Kings County. Previous roles include Business Agent at the Minnesota Association of Professional Employees and Internal Contract Organizer at SEIU Healthcare Minnesota, where Johnson handled collective bargaining agreements and supported worksite leadership. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts in African-American/Black Studies from Rutgers University and a Certificate of Completion from the Minnesota Union Leadership Program.
