Julie Traweek's work experience begins in 2014 as a Research Assistant at Christopher Newport University, where they conducted interviews and observations for a tourism report on Antietam National Battlefield. In 2016, they worked as a Software Development Intern at Fi-Tek, where they conducted usability testing and competitive research to improve user experience. From 2018 to 2019, they served as a Business Analyst & Account Manager at Cingeto, building and managing technology teams for clients in the aerospace, space, and technology sectors. In 2019, Julie joined SEKISUI Aerospace Corporation as a Project Manager, leading a digitization project that significantly improved production and reduced paper usage. Julie then moved to the role of Sr. Manager, Industry 4.0 & Technology, implementing a project management hub and co-creating a strategic roadmap for digital transformation. Currently, Julie works as a Sr. Product Manager at SEKISUI Aerospace Corporation, where they drive product strategy and executes the Visual Factory IoT system while conducting UX research and designing prototypes.

Julie Traweek's education history begins in 2011 when they enrolled at Christopher Newport University. Julie pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree and graduated in 2015 with a major in Sociology, focusing on Anthropology, and a minor in Leadership. In 2014, they spent a year studying Anthropology at Universidad Pablo de Olavide.

Afterwards, Julie went on to obtain a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. Julie'sstudies in this field took place between 2016 and 2018.

Furthering their education, in 2022, Julie attended BrainStation and earned a Diploma Certificate in User Experience Design.

In terms of additional certifications, Julie obtained the ASA Basic Keelboat Sailing certification from the American Sailing Association in July 2013. In July 2014, they also obtained the ASA Basic Coastal Cruising certification from the same institution.
