Bo Harstine began their work experience in 2011 as an OSU-Select Sires-CE Marshall Graduate Research Associate at The Ohio State University, where they conducted research for their Ph.D. dissertation on approaches to positively impact the early life physiology, endocrinology, and productivity of bulls. In 2016, they joined Select Sires Inc. as a Research and Quality Assurance Associate before being promoted to Director of Research in 2018. In their role, they interface research discoveries with intellectual property management and commercial implementation, coordinates and conducts research on bovine fertility, genetics, biotechnology, and sustainability, and acts as a scientific liaison between the company, academic institutions, and industry partners.
Bo Harstine has a comprehensive education history. Bo obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, studying from 2022 to 2024. Prior to that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Reproductive Physiology and Endocrinology at The Ohio State University from 2013 to 2016. Bo also holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in the same field from The Ohio State University, which they completed from 2011 to 2013. Lastly, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Washington & Jefferson College from 2007 to 2011.
