Tan'nya L. Jenkins has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Tan'nya L. currently works as the Chief People & Strategy Officer at Self Enhancement, Inc. Tan'nya L. previously held the position of Chief Executive - Member at Chief. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer of T. Jenkins Consulting, a global leadership and consultancy firm specializing in strategy, diversity, equity & inclusion, and operations management.

In 1996, Tan'nya started their career as a Foreign Service Intern at the U.S. Department of State in Beijing, China. Tan'nya L. later worked as a Business Finance & HR Intern at General Motors in Beijing.

Tan'nya L. Jenkins has a diverse education history spanning several institutions and fields of study. Tan'nya L. began their higher education journey at Michigan State University where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Chinese Language from the College of Arts & Letters in 1998. During the same period, they also pursued a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations- Pre-Law from James Madison College. Additionally, in 1998, they achieved a Chinese Language Certification from Tsinghua University.

In 2005, Tan'nya pursued a Master's Degree in HR Management & Labor & Industrial Relations from Michigan State University, which they completed in 2006. Tan'nya L. then went on to broaden their knowledge in International Business by attending Tecnológico de Monterrey in the same year. In pursuit of their MBA, they enrolled at Nelson Mandela University, specializing in Change Management in the field of International Business, also in 2006.

Continuing their passion for language and cultural studies, Tan'nya achieved another Chinese Language Certification from Tsinghua University in 1994.

Tan'nya further enhanced their academic qualifications by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education, International Business & Transformational Leadership from Concordia University-Portland. Tan'nya L. embarked on this doctoral program in 2017 and completed it in 2021. Subsequently, they continued their academic journey by enrolling in a second PhD program in Leadership Innovation & Continuous Improvement at Concordia University-Wisconsin, starting in 2021 and anticipated to end in 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Tan'nya has obtained two certifications, "Being a Good Mentee" from LinkedIn in July 2021 and "Cultivating a Growth Mindset" from LinkedIn in June 2021.
