David Isenhower MD has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. David started their career in 1989 as an Otolaryngologist in the US Army Medical Corps, where they served as a Major until 1993. Following this, they joined Greenwood Ear Nose and Throat Center and worked as an Otolaryngologist for 20 years, from 1993 to 2013. In 2010, they were appointed as the Chief Medical Informatics Officer (CMIO) at Self Regional Healthcare. Currently, they are a Certified Health Coach at Eat Smart Weight Management, where they help people achieve a healthy weight and maintain it using the Habits of Health system.

David Isenhower MD completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, General from Davidson College in 1980. David then pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine from 1980 to 1984. Following that, they undertook an Internship in General Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University from 1984 to 1985. Finally, they completed their residency in Otolaryngology at Oregon Health & Science University from 1985 to 1989.
