Richard Gallacher

Richard Gallacher is a highly experienced Senior Programme Manager and Programme & Project Assurance Manager at Sellafield Ltd since November 2022, responsible for assuring major projects and programmes. Previously, Richard served as Executive Programme Manager at BAE Systems, overseeing 'Mission Planning' at an executive level, and held the position of Executive Programme Manager for the Eurofighter Typhoon Qatar contract at Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH. Richard has extensive project management experience, including leadership roles in contract change management and capability delivery for significant defence contracts in Saudi Arabia and Oman. Richard began a career in project management with BAE Systems in 2003, progressing through various engineering and management roles. Richard's educational background includes degrees from the University of Warwick in CIPS and City and Guilds in Engineering, as well as training from the Association of Project Management.
