Ilmo Heiska

Ilmo Heiska has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ilmo started their career in 2015 as a Customer Service Coordinator at Vexve Oy, where they managed order-delivery processes and coordinated with internal departments. In 2017, they transitioned to Valmet as a Product Engineer, focusing on product development. From 2020 to 2021, Ilmo worked at Cinia as a Junior Software Developer and later as a Software Developer. During this time, they gained experience in software development and contributed to various projects. In 2021, they joined Valmet again as a Data Scientist, developing and maintaining industrial internet analytics applications using Python and SQL. Currently, Ilmo works at Sellforte as a Customer Data Scientist, where they onboard new customers, defines data flows and models using Bayesian MMM, and solves customer-specific issues through data analysis and communication.

Ilmo Heiska began their education in 2011 at Tampere University of Technology, where they pursued a Master of Science (Tech.) degree in Environmental and Energy Technology. Ilmo completed this program in 2016. In 2014, they took part in an exchange semester at Renmin University of China in Beijing.

Subsequently, in 2019, Ilmo enrolled in Tampere University to pursue a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, which they completed in 2021.

During their educational journey, Ilmo also obtained several certifications. In 2018, they earned the "Elements of AI" certification from the University of Helsinki and Reaktor. In 2019, they obtained two more certifications: "Data Analysis with Python" from the University of Helsinki and "Full Stack Open 2019" from the same institution.
