Gary Sheplavy

Director Of Technology at Selman & Company

Gary Sheplavy has more than 20 years of work experience in various roles, starting with their time in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant from June 1984 to February 1988. Gary then worked as the Manager of Computer Operations and Corporate Services at Capitol American Life Insurance Company from May 1988 to June 1997, where they successfully increased system availability and managed the relocation of the Data Center. After that, they served as the Director of Technology at Parma City School District from June 1997 to July 1998, where they implemented a wide area network, installed and configured MS Exchange Server, and standardized office software. Currently, Gary holds the position of Director of Technology at Selman & Company since July 1998, where they oversee information services and technology for the company, which is a leading third-party insurance administrator and marketer.

Gary Sheplavy obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Chapman University, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. In 1987, they also completed the USAF Non-Commissioned Officer Leadership School. Additionally, they have certifications in American Productivity & Total Quality Management obtained in 1992 and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer since 1998.
