Nathan Purmort

Director of Systems at Selux Diagnostics

Nathan Purmort has had a varied and successful career in engineering, beginning in 2004 with their role as Engineering Manager at UNH Project54. In this role, they managed 15 students in working research roles, and developed PC-based driver and UI software in C/C++ to interact with public safety in-vehicle equipment. Nathan then moved to 54ward Integrated Solutions in 2008 as Systems Engineer II, where they reverse-engineered communication protocols and wrote C/C++ driver software for controlling public safety devices. In 2010, they joined DEKA Research & Development as Lead Electrical Engineer, where they developed a concept design to a production-ready product in 14 months, and also provided systems engineering support to a contract manufacturer. Finally, in 2016, they joined Selux Diagnostics, Inc as Director of Systems, Head of Systems, Principal Engineer, and Lead Engineer. In this role, they are pioneering a new era in personalized medicine with the development of a Next Generation Phenotyping (NGP) platform.

Nathan Purmort received their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire in 2006, followed by their Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the same institution in 2009.
