Siddhartha Sengupta

Siddhartha Sengupta has a diverse work experience in the renewable energy industry. Siddhartha has held various management positions in different companies.

Siddhartha started their career as an Engineer in Bells Controls Limited and later worked as an Assistant Manager in Websol Energy Systems Limited, where they gained knowledge in solar photovoltaic cell and module production.

Siddhartha then worked as a Manager in Pentafour Solec Technology Limited.

After that, they joined SSAEL as a General Manager, where they were responsible for project management, sales support, and engineering solutions for solar PV power plant projects.

Siddhartha then worked at Oman Solar Systems Co. LLC as the Head of Technical & Projects and at CareyGlass Solar, Ireland & UK as the Technical Head.

Siddhartha served as Vice President - Solar in Emergent Ventures India, where they handled the solar PV consulting business and worked on various consulting assignments in Southeast Asia.

Siddhartha also worked as the Vice President & Strategic Business Head (Solar) in UNO MINDA, NK Minda Group, where they oversaw the strategic planning and business development for solar projects.

At Vikram Solar, they served as the Head of International BD & Engineering, EPC, where they managed the design and engineering of utility-grade solar power plants and led the company's initiatives to increase the manufacturing base and product portfolio.

Currently, they are working as the Head of Engineering, Renewable Business, India in Sembcorp Industries Ltd, where they are responsible for leading the Engineering and Technical Services Department of the Renewable BU (Wind & Solar) and managing major functions for renewable energy plants.

Throughout their career, Siddhartha Sengupta has demonstrated expertise in engineering, project management, business development, and strategic planning in the renewable energy sector.

Siddhartha Sengupta completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur, from 1984 to 1988. Siddhartha also obtained a Professional Membership in MIEI from Engineers Ireland. In 2016, they attended the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad for a program in Innovation, Corporate Strategy and Competitive Performance, but did not obtain a degree.
