Mary Morton (She/Her)

President, CEO, Director of Business Development at SEMbio

With over two decades of hands-on experience and coupled with her scientific educational background, Mary’s vast and expanding network of industry relationships is unmatched in biopharmaceutical recruiting. Throughout her career, Mary has been integral in keeping her clients staffed for success including initial strategy development for building and expanding field medical teams, as well as meeting the constant demand for quality MSLs.

Mary graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, College of Natural Sciences, with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, and additional studies in UT’s College of Pharmacy. It’s an invaluable experience that fostered her grasp of the scientific concepts behind products her clients develop and produce. Mary speaks substantively with both clients and candidates, without memorizing and reciting buzzwords. Since entering the field, she’s been a student of specialized personnel recruitment. Mary earned her Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) title in 1997 and maintains the certification through continuing education programs.

Mary is passionate about great music and family, and that is probably why she and her family recently relocated to Austin, Texas. Her daughter, Paige, is attending UT-Austin and is a member of the UT Equestrian team, and her son, Liam, is a select baseball athlete for the Austin Horns. Away from work, Mary and her husband can be found attending live concerts or watching their two children do what they love.
