Chuck has more than 20 years of experience investing in global education markets, leveraging his acknowledged sector expertise via unique investment strategies. Chuck is a passionate supporter and innovator of student-centric, outcomes-based education systems, an active social-impact/ESG investor and was one of the first analysts to coin the term “SAAS” in 2003.
Chuck was a co-founder and former President of Edly, Inc. a breakthrough FinTech company that funds higher education and skills training via income-based repayment. From 2014-2021, Chuck was managing partner of FlowPoint Capital Partners, an alternative investment management company he co-founded. From 2006-2013, Chuck was an equity portfolio manager at The Boston Company Asset Management, a $50 billion (AUM) unit of BNY Mellon Corp. There, he was a member of the accomplished TBCAM Small Cap Growth and Portfolio Engineering teams, managing $2.5 billion in small/mid-cap funds, $200 million microcap hedge, and a $200 million market neutral fund.
From 1994-2006 Chuck was an award-winning research analyst, including being voted an Institutional Investor magazine “All-America Research Analyst” and a Greenwich Associates “5-Star” Analyst. His work has been profiled in The New York Times, The Economist, the BBC, Bloomberg, Japan Times, CNBC, Institutional Investor, EdSurge, and other leading media outlets.
Chuck co-founded “Experience Music”, a creative program at the New England Center for Homeless Veterans. He was a varsity athlete at Prince George’s Community College and graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Finance from Boston College.
