Andres Garces

Andres Garces is an experienced professional in laboratory coordination and management, currently serving as the Production Laboratory Coordinator at Semex since May 2021. Prior to this role, Garces worked as a Laboratory Technician at Fast Genetics and as a Processing Technician at Canadian Plasma Resources, where adherence to GMP and Health Canada guidelines was a priority. Garces has a strong background in research, having served as a Research Assistant at the University of Saskatchewan, where responsibilities included DNA sample preparation and data compilation, as well as a Head Teaching Assistant, facilitating laboratory learning. Earlier experience includes coordinating laboratories at Universidad Técnica Equinoccial and assisting in research at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador. Garces holds a Master of Science in Ecology, Evolution, and Systematic Biology from the University of Saskatchewan, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Developmental Biology and Embryology from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador.
