Van N.

Van N. has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Currently, they are the Assistant Director of the Comptroller's Office at Seminole County Clerk and Comptroller since February 2022. Prior to this role, Van served as the Accounting Manager at the same organization from March 2021 to February 2022. They also held the position of Accountant II from January 2019 to March 2021.

Before joining Seminole County Clerk and Comptroller, Van worked as a Financial Manager at Seminole County Government's Environmental Services Department from July 2012 to January 2019. They were a Utility Accountant at the City of Oviedo's Finance Department from July 2011 to July 2012.

Van's previous experience includes serving as a Financial Analyst at the City of Fayetteville, North Carolina's Finance Department from May 2007 to June 2011. They also worked as a Financial Analyst at NC CEED, Center for Economic Empowerment & Development from May 2006 to April 2007. Van was an Accounting Supplemental Instruction Leader and Graduate Assistant at Fayetteville State University from August 2004 to May 2006. In the early years of their career, Van worked as an Accountant, Business Analyst, and Warehouse Supervisor at the Educational Equipment Company (Ministry of Education) from January 1995 to July 2001.

Van N. holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Accounting from Fayetteville State University. Additionally, they have a Certificate in Budgeting in Local Government from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. They also obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Economics from The University of Toledo. Van N. completed their Bachelor's degree in English from Dai hoc Quoc Gia Hanoi, and they also have a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business and Economics from the same institution.

In terms of certifications, Van N. is a Certified Public Accountant, obtained from the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountant Examiners in March 2011. They are also a Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO), obtained from the Florida Government Finance Officers Association in April 2020.
