Braden McDorman

Braden McDorman is an experienced engineering manager and software engineer currently employed at Zoox, focusing on scenario authoring and simulation since June 2023. Braden has held various leadership roles, including board member, board secretary, and technical advisory committee chair at the KISS Institute for Practical Robotics, contributing to educational robotics software and hardware development since May 2019. As a co-founder and CTO of Semio, a B2B software startup in Los Angeles, Braden is instrumental in creating a platform for robot operating systems and developer tools. Previous experiences include advisory roles at Bobble Sports, software engineering roles at KISS Institute, Disney Research, Microsoft, and New Spin 360, as well as academic involvement as a teaching and research assistant at the University of Oklahoma. Braden earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma, following attendance at the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics.
