Yehuda Cohen

Yehuda is the Head of Translational Medicine at Senda Biosciences, bringing to the company more than a decade of translational medicine experience in academia and industry.

Prior to joining Senda, Yehuda served as the Head of Translational Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology for Rare Diseases and Rare Blood Disorders at Sanofi. In this position he led a team that designed and implemented first-in-human, proof-of-concept, and clinical pharmacology studies. Before joining Sanofi he was an Assistant Professor of Clinical Investigation in the Laboratory of Molecular Immunology at The Rockefeller University. In this role he served as principal investigator for several early phase clinical trials evaluating broadly neutralizing anti-HIV monoclonal antibodies. He also performed laboratory research to characterize the reservoir of latently infected cells in individuals with HIV infection and to investigate how this reservoir might be targeted by broadly neutralizing antibodies.

Yehuda did an infectious diseases fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he served as an investigator for numerous early phase HIV vaccine studies, wrote first-in-human protocols, and studied glycan-dependent neutralizing antibodies in the lab. Yehuda received his M.D. from Stony Brook University Medical school and did his internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. He received an M.S. in Clinical Investigation from The Rockefeller University.
