Elma Van Tonder

Elma Van Tonder has over thirty years of work experience. Elma began their career in 1985 as a Bookkeeper for C P de Leeuw Investments. In 1991, they moved to Mercantile Lisbon Bank as an Assistant Accountant and then an Admin Manager. In 1999, they were a Manager at Saambou Bank. From 2003 to 2019, they worked at AFRICANBANK, with roles as a Fais Operational Manager and Key Individual, Manager Operations, Portfolio Manager, Legal Collections Manager, and EAO & Collections Manager. Since 2019, they have been a Director at Nu Risk Financial Services (Pty) Ltd and Head of Regulations at SENDSPEND LTD.

Elma Van Tonder's education history includes a Higher Certificate in Short Term Insurance from Milpark University (2012-2014), a Paralegal Diploma from the University of Johannesburg (2003-2005), a Financial Diploma from Varsity College (2002-2004), and a Basic Business Leadership Certificate from Technicon Pretoria (2000-2001). Additionally, Elma has obtained a RE5 & RE1 certification from the Financial Services Board.
