Sam Kulubya

Sam Kulubya is currently a Senior Business Development Manager at Sendy. Prior to this, they were the Head of Vendor Operations at Jumia Group-Uganda from April 2021 to March 2022. In this role, they were responsible for formulating the strategic vision and driving the business execution of all aspects of vendor experience on Jumia's E-Commerce platform, including vendor operations, vendor support, and vendor issue resolution.

Kulubya has extensive experience in managing, monitoring, and analyzing all aspects of the end-to-end vendor operations experience. Sam has also ensured efficiency and SLA compliance of the forward delivery flow (warehouse inbounding, vendor drop-offs, and vendor pick-ups), the reverse delivery flow (failed deliveries, customer returns, aging inventory), and general stock availability. In addition, they have been responsible for all inbound and outbound communications over phone, email, and social media for vendor support, as well as payment reconciliations, loss management, counterfeit investigations, and complaint management for penalties and limitations due to poor operational performance.

Kulubya has also been responsible for maintaining quality standards at vendor hubs and analyzing vendor satisfaction surveys for vendor satisfaction. Sam has been the Owner of the Vendor operations roadmap, implementing projects and releases (e.g Salesforce integrations, automated operational triggers) and setting project priorities and KPIs. Sam has also planned and executed major commercial campaigns from a vendor experience perspective.

Sam Kulubya has a Masters of Business Administration from the University of East London, a Chartered Institute of Marketing-CIM from the Uganda Management Institute, and a Bachelors of Commerce from Makerere University.

Their manager is Chris Nyaga, General Manager-Uganda. They are on a team with Charles Lwanga - Vendor Relations Manager, Josephine Kyokunda - Supplier Relations Manager, and Miriam Navalayo - Vendor Relations Manager.
