Venky Rao

Venky Rao MA (Psy), RP is a seasoned mental health professional with extensive experience in clinical and managerial roles within various organizations. Currently serving as the Senior Manager for Personal Counselling Services at Seneca Polytechnic since March 2023, Venky previously held the position of Clinical Manager for Community Health Services at Cota from May 2016 to March 2023, where effective resource mobilization and budget management were key achievements. Prior experience includes Program Manager at Canadian Mental Health Association, York Region, where Venky developed Assertive Community Treatment Teams and spearheaded innovations through staff engagement. Additionally, Venky served as a Psycho-social Support Consultant for the United Nations during earthquake disaster responses and worked as a Consultant Psychologist at both Shanti Bhavan Children's Project and Hosmat Hospital, focusing on child-care management and rehabilitation for individuals with acquired brain injuries. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Bangalore University and Executive Education from Schulich School of Business.
