William Grady

Scientific Advisor at SEngine Precision Medicine

Dr. Grady earned his M.D. from the University of Michigan in 1990. He performed his gastroenterology fellowship at Case Western Reserve University and was on faculty at Vanderbilt University until 2004, when he joined the Fred Hutch and UW faculties. His focus is on cancer screenings. Dr. Grady’s many awards include the Burroughs Wellcome Fund’s Clinical Scientist Award in Translational Research, the John Walsh Memorial GIDH Award in Basic Research and the Damon-Runyon-Lilly Clinical Investigator Award. In 2005 he won the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, the nation’s highest honor for professionals at the outset of their independent research careers. He has also been elected to the American Society of Clinical Investigation.
