Lou Delaforcade

Lou deLaforcade is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in various roles.

At Sonova Group, Lou served as the Head of Finance for the Americas and Australia/New Zealand. They successfully led the local Finance component of the carveout of the new company from Sennheiser and ensured the integration of new accounting and reporting guidelines. Lou also managed the Finance and Accounting departments in the USA, Canada, Mexico, and Australia/New Zealand, ensuring compliance with company guidelines.

Before joining Sonova Group, Lou worked at Sennheiser Electronic Corporation, where they held the positions of Director of Finance and Controller. As the Director of Finance, Lou prepared financial forecasts and budget proposals and provided financial expertise to Channel/Segment Leaders. They also oversaw the cash management function. As the Controller, Lou maintained accounting systems, reviewed general ledger postings for accuracy, and prepared month-end financial statements and internal reporting.

Prior to Sennheiser, Lou was employed at The Lane Construction Corporation as the Director of Financial Reporting and Assistant Controller. In these roles, they produced consolidated financial statements, prepared various analyses for senior management, supervised accounting functions, and served as the point person for external auditors.

Lou began their career as a Senior Accountant at Stanley Bostitch, where they performed various accounting duties and served as a financial analyst for two market groups. They also worked at PwC as a Staff/Senior Accountant, planning and administering audit and review engagements and preparing financial reports for compliance.

Lou deLaforcade holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Accounting and Finance from the University of Connecticut School of Business. Lou also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Tufts University.
