Caroline Newton

Caroline Newton has over 25 years of experience in the finance industry. Caroline began their career in 1996 as a Corporate Tax Analyst at Arthur Andersen, where they qualified as an ACA with first time passes. In 2000, they moved to TI Group plc as a Transfer Pricing Manager, then to EY as a Corporate Tax Consultant in 2001. In 2003, they became the Group Tax Manager at Electrocomponents plc. In 2008, they joined PepsiCo as a Commercial Services Manager, where they stabilized and improved the performance of an outsourced shared service centre, business partnered with the Sales function to recover aged balances, and identified and led the implementation of working capital initiatives. Caroline then took a maternity leave before becoming the Finance Planning Analysis Manager and Tax & Statutory Reporting Manager. In 2018, they moved to Hovis Ltd as the Group Financial Controller, where they were responsible for the people and control agenda for the Finance function, as well as forecasting and delivering cash. Caroline is currently the Financial Controller & Company Secretary at Sense Biodetection Ltd.

Caroline Newton completed their education history with a Legal Practice Course at the University of Bristol from 1995 to 1996. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Law from the University of Birmingham from 1993 to 1994. Her education history began with a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the University of Southampton from 1990 to 1993.
