Scientist II - Assay Development at Sense Biodetection

Thomas Clarke has worked in the field of biochemistry since 2017. In 2019, they joined Sense Biodetection Ltd as a Scientist (Team Leader), Assay Development, where they were responsible for the development of assays targeting infectious diseases while advancing proprietary nucleic acid amplification biochemistry for integration into the Veros point-of-care platform. Prior to this, from 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Student Research Assistant at Curtin University, where they gained practical laboratory experience in immunohistochemistry, fluorescent microscopy, cell culture and in vivo rodent experiments. Thomas also contributed to and earned co-authorship on a publication in the Journal of Neuroinflammation and conducted an oral presentation at the Australian Society for Medical Research (ASMR) conference.

Thomas Clarke completed their GCSEs at Henley In Arden School between 2008 and 2013. Thomas then went on to complete their A-Levels at Alcester Grammar Sixth Form from 2013 to 2015. Finally, they obtained a Master of Pharmacology from the University of Bath between 2015 and 2019.
