Ryan Miglavs

Ryan Miglavs has a diverse work experience in the field of product design and development. Ryan is currently working as a Senior Product Designer at Sense since September 2022. Prior to this, they held the same position at Kinship from January 2021 to August 2022. From October 2019 to December 2020, Ryan worked as a Senior Product Designer at Wisdom Health.

In 2018, Ryan joined Providence Health & Services as a UI Lead, where they created a design system called Blue Line to be used across multiple web applications. Ryan stayed with the company until September 2019.

Before that, from December 2017 to August 2019, Ryan worked on an unannounced news project as a Designer. Ryan was responsible for conceiving and designing a unique news experience that allowed users to choose their sources and utilized AI to curate the most important stories.

Ryan led the design practice agency-wide, designed easy interfaces for complex applications, championed accessibility, and transitioned OMBU from a white-label tech partner to a full-service design and development agency.

Prior to OMBU, Ryan worked as a Senior Web Developer at Stand for Children from March 2011 to July 2013. Ryan led a web development team, built a multilingual, multisite Drupal platform, and shipped releases every two weeks.

Ryan's career started at A Socialist Pear, where they worked as a Designer and Developer from June 2006 to March 2011. Ryan collaborated with agencies and clients, designed and built online experiences, and advocated for web standards.
