Data Scientist at Sensei

Dr. Ali Hamidisepehr, PhD, has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and research. Ali is currently working as a Data Scientist at Sensei Ag since February 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Data Scientist at The Climate Corporation from September 2019 to February 2021. In this role, they developed a detection/counting/sizing model on melon farms using deep learning and computer vision techniques, achieving a significant mAP of 0.9 for the detection task. Ali also prepared sub-field information to generate a yield map.

Before joining The Climate Corporation, Dr. Hamidisepehr worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at North Carolina State University from September 2018 to September 2019. Additionally, they have experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Kentucky from August 2015 to September 2018, where they also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from January 2018 to May 2018 and from January 2017 to May 2017. Lastly, they were a Graduate Student at Collaboration Leading Operational UAS Development for Meteorology and Atmospheric Physics (CLOUD-MAP) from August 2015 to July 2018.
