Portia Oliver, CSM, CP-FS

Portia Oliver has a strong background in product management and food safety. Portia is currently working as a Technical Product Manager at Sensei since 2023. Prior to that, they served as a PMO Manager at Twitter from 2022 to 2023. Portia worked at Amazon from 2016 to 2022 in various roles including Senior Product Manager, Compliance Program Manager, and Regional Food Safety Manager. Portia also owned and managed their own business, The Back of House, from 2015 to 2019. Portia has experience in the food industry, having worked at companies like Beyond Meat, Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market, and Allied Sales & Distribution in quality assurance and food safety roles. Portia also worked as a Nutrition Director at People Coordinated Services and as a Research Assistant at the California Department of Public Health.

Portia Oliver, CSM, CP-FS holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, General from Spelman College. Additionally, they pursued studies in Nutritional Biology at the University of California, Davis. Portia has also obtained certifications as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance and as a Certified Professional - Food Safety from the National Environmental Health Association. Their certifications include HACCP from Biomedix and Seafood HACCP from NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration.
