Hikmatyar Hasan

Hikmatyar Hasan has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Hikmatyar started their career in 2012 with a neuroscience research internship at Technische Universität Dresden, where they developed and implemented a MRI data handling/processing workflow using Python. In 2013, they interned at Imperial College London as a physics researcher, contributing to the development of theories describing soliton energetics, interactions, and dynamics.

In 2014, Hikmatyar worked as an operations intern at Northwest Clinic in Dubai, where they successfully implemented an upgrade to their insurance billing procedure, resulting in a significant reduction in rejection rates. Hikmatyar then joined Imperial College London as a PhD student in 2015, focusing on their research until 2019.

After completing their PhD, Hikmatyar joined Tessella as a data scientist/software engineer from 2019 to 2021. During this time, they gained expertise in data science and software engineering. In 2021, they joined Capgemini Engineering as a senior software engineer, working as a technical lead on Python-backend projects in the consumer goods, pharmaceutical, and energy sectors. Hikmatyar also took on the role of a Scrum Master, utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies to deliver projects. Additionally, they gained proficiency in cloud services, primarily Azure and AWS.

In 2023, Hikmatyar will join SenseOn as a senior backend developer.

Hikmatyar Hasan received a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Imperial College London in 2014. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Theory and Simulation of Materials at the same institution from 2014 to 2015. Hikmatyar then continued their studies at Imperial College London, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Engineering Alloys Group & CDT on Theory and Simulation of Materials from 2015 to 2018.
