Tina HyunJung Kim is a seasoned professional in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology, currently serving as Manager of Quality Sciences at Senseonics, Incorporated since January 2017. Tina has held various roles within the company, including Principal Quality Engineer and Senior Quality Engineer, focusing on the design and development of chemical components for implantable continuous glucose monitoring sensors. Prior to this, Tina worked as an Associate Research Scientist at Senseonics and as an Assistant Research Scientist at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, where contributions included optimizing the isolation of urinary exosomes for renal disease biomarkers. Tina's research experience also includes work at Virginia Tech as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, where laboratory techniques were employed to explore the metal dependence of GTP-cyclohydrolase II. Educationally, Tina obtained a Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with a minor in Chemistry from Virginia Tech.
