Lion Flachbart has worked in various roles throughout their career. They started their career at the Stem cell bank of the Duesseldorf University Hospital as a Student Associate from July 2010 to March 2014. They then moved on to the Research Center Jülich, where they worked as a PhD student from May 2015 to June 2019, followed by a brief period as a Postdoctoral Researcher from July 2019 to December 2019. Currently, Lion Flachbart is working at SenseUP Biotechnology, where they have held two roles. First, as a Scientist from January 2020 to December 2020, where they focused on expanding the in-house high throughput screening technology and establishing the SenseUp RNA sensor technology. Currently, Lion Flachbart is serving as a Senior Scientist at SenseUP Biotechnology, starting in January 2021. In this role, they are driving the development of the SenseUp fermentative RNA production platform and maintaining contact with collaboration partners.

Lion Flachbart obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Düsseldorf, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Lion further pursued their education in the field of Biology and completed their Master of Science degree from the same institution from 2012 to 2015.
