Mario Martinez

Mario Martinez has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. In 2013, they were a Course Designer for edX. In 2014, they were the Founder of Upwards Design and an Engineer and User Engagement Lead for MIT Product Engineering Processes. In 2015, they were an MIT International Science and Technology Initiative Product Design Instructor. In 2016, they were an AP Calculus Instructor for IDEA Public Schools. Since 2018, they have been a Machine Learning Engineer for Senseye, Inc., where they have developed methods for data acquisition, analysis, modeling, results tracking, and model integration. Mario has also created scalable machine learning models using classification to detect cognitive load, fatigue, alcohol intoxication, and stress, and has communicated across different teams to integrate models into product.

Mario Martinez received their Associate's degree from the University of Texas at Brownsville in 2011, majoring in General Arts. Mario then attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Business Management and Industry Leadership.
