Joel Parker

Joel Parker is an experienced software engineer and database developer with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Sentara Healthcare since June 2013, Joel has also been a primary Oracle 10g Database Developer at EEJV since April 2011, optimizing database procedures, tables, and views. Prior roles include database development positions at EIS, Wyle, and WYLE IS, where responsibilities included database support and optimization. Joel’s early career involved significant contributions as a Business Tech Analyst II at Elizabeth City State University, where technical leadership was provided for the implementation and support of the Human Resource Banner system. Joel holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Elizabeth City State University, obtained in 1997, and completed coursework at Wake Tech Community College from 2003 to 2004.
