Lindsey Vaughn

Lindsey Vaughn, MD, CPE, FAAFP, has served as the Director of Medical Operations and Family Physician at Sentara Medical Group since 1992, after spending over two decades as a physician partner at Family Medicine Associates PC. As Associate Medical Director of Ambulatory Care in Western Tidewater and former Medical Director of an orthopedic rehabilitation center at Sentara Obici Hospital, Vaughn has demonstrated extensive leadership in healthcare. Serving as President of Medical Staff at Sentara Obici Hospital, Vaughn led a large group of physicians and mid-level providers for over 15 years. Additionally, Vaughn is currently the Chair of the Board of Directors for Sentara Accountable Care Organization and has held several key roles in medical organizations, including as a board member for Health Quality Innovators and a past President of the Virginia Academy of Family Physicians. Vaughn is also an Assistant Professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School, engaging with medical students in primary care medicine. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from Eastern Virginia Medical School and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from the University of Virginia.
