Maruf Sakib

Maruf Sakib is an experienced data scientist and GIS expert, currently serving as Lead Data Scientist at Sentara Healthcare since November 2021. Prior to this role, Maruf held various positions, including GIS Systems Lead Engineer at Old Dominion University, where responsibilities included designing data science applications and utilizing machine learning algorithms. Additional experience includes roles at the North Carolina Department of Transportation, University of Redlands, and the Ministry of LGRD & Cooperative in Bangladesh, among others. Maruf's educational background includes multiple master's degrees in Computer Science and GIS from Old Dominion University and University of Redlands, as well as a Bachelor of Urban and Rural Planning from Khulna University.
