Quality Contorl Analyst II, QC Bioassays at Senti Biosciences

Miguel Palermo has a diverse work experience in the field of biosciences. Miguel started their career at Contra Costa College, where they worked as a Campus Wide Tutor and Chemistry Lab Assistant. In these roles, they provided tutoring in mathematics, physics, and chemistry and assisted professors during class. Miguel also gained experience in lab equipment preparation and chemical solutions.

Miguel then interned at the Plant Gene Expression Center, conducting research on hypersensitive response in plants. After that, they joined xCella Biosciences as a Research Intern, where they were involved in DNA cloning, cell line maintenance, and lab equipment upkeep.

Following their internship, Miguel joined xCella Biosciences as a Research Technician. Here, they contributed to the development of proprietary methods and workflows, focusing on in vitro cell-based functional assays and immune cell isolation from whole blood. Miguel also managed a cell catalogue and processed tissues from mouse trials.

Currently, Miguel works at Senti Biosciences as a Quality Control Analyst II in QC Bioassays. Miguel'sresponsibilities include conducting bioanalytical testing of cell therapy drug products, authoring SOPs and test methods, training analysts, and conducting investigations for root cause analysis.

Throughout their career, Miguel has developed expertise in flow cytometry and flow-based sorting, as well as a strong understanding of cGMP requirements and laboratory safety protocols. Miguel is a dedicated and knowledgeable professional in the biosciences field.

Miguel Palermo pursued their education by first attending Contra Costa College from 2013 to 2016. During this time, they completed an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree with a focus on Chemistry. Subsequently, from 2016 to 2018, Miguel enrolled at the University of California, Davis, where they earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
