Betty Cheng

Betty Cheng serves as a Principal ML Engineer on the AI Science team at SentinelOne since November 2023, focusing on building generative AI for threat-hunting and enhancing the effectiveness of SOC analysts. Prior experience includes roles as a Software Engineer at Lacework, Principal Applied Scientist at Microsoft, and Software Engineer in Machine Learning at Facebook, where work involved improving page recommendations and developing machine learning models for online ad relevance. Betty co-founded Mindkin LLC, a social-networking platform, and has held various internships at prominent companies such as Google and Safeway IT. Educational qualifications encompass a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Language Technologies from Carnegie Mellon University, alongside a B.Sc. in Computer Science Honours from Simon Fraser University.
