Product Designer at Sentinels

Carlijn van Engelen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in product design, user experience, brand ambassadorship, and recruitment.

Carlijn is currently working as a Product Designer at Fenergo since April 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at Sentinels starting from December 2022.

From January 2021 to December 2022, Carlijn worked as a Product Designer at VMware, where they conducted user research, advocated for users throughout iterations, and worked in an Agile XP Lean Development environment.

In 2020, Carlijn worked as a User Experience Designer for their own business venture as a self-employed professional.

Before that, they worked at Madison Black from October 2018 to December 2020, serving as a Brand Ambassador and later as a Recruitment Consultant, specializing in digital product and service development.

From an earlier period of September 2017 to September 2018, Carlijn served as a Candidate Consultant - QA Pharma/Biotech at Progressive Recruitment.

Carlijn also has experience from an internship as an Assistant Agent at The Birds Management from January to July 2017.

Additionally, Carlijn has worked as an Administrative Assistant at Rabobank in 2015 and as an Assistant in photography and cinematography at Tom Hayton Photography from January to May 2013.

Carlijn van Engelen's education history is as follows. In 2013, they began their studies at Breda University of Applied Sciences, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Media and Entertainment Management. Carlijn completed their studies in 2018. In 2015, Carlijn attended Northern Arizona University for a production course. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2013, they studied photography at Koning Willem I College and obtained a degree in Photography at MBO Niveau 4. In 2020, Carlijn enrolled in Growth Tribe to pursue a Crossfunctional UX Design degree. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Cross-functional UX Design from Growth Tribe, Power Your Media Plan with Display & Video 360 from Google, Google Analytics Essential Training and Marketing Tools: Digital Marketing from LinkedIn.
