Samuel Orimoloye

Samuel Orimoloye has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Samuel started their career in 2001 as a Technical Operations - Executive Officer at Lahor Oil & Gas Limited. Samuel then worked at Addax Petroleum from 2002 to 2011, holding various positions including Wellsite Drilling Engineer, Drilling Engineer, Deepwater Drilling Engineer, and Senior Drilling Engineer. Since 2011, Samuel has been working at Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc. Samuel began as a Senior Drilling Engineer and progressed to Drilling Manager and currently serves as the Corporate Wells Manager. In this role, they manage a team of 6 and is responsible for providing drilling and completions contracting and technical expertise, as well as recruiting and developing competent drilling and completions staff. Throughout their career, Samuel has demonstrated expertise in managing drilling and completion operations, ensuring compliance with corporate standards, and delivering optimal drilling programs to support business objectives.

Samuel Orimoloye obtained a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Ibadan, where they studied from 1993 to 1999. In addition to their formal education, they have received several certifications and training in various areas of the oil and gas industry, including project management, drill bits and PDC cutter technology, drilling fluid technology, drilling office power plan, fundamentals of tubular design, handling change effectively, introduction to subsea drilling, oil and gas project management, open wells training, rig systems & equipment, mud engineering, cementing, directional drilling, MWD/LWD, SG-5 WellHead Mechanical School, stuck pipe prevention, tropical BOSIET, International Well Control Forum certificate on rotary drilling well control, and well planning & operations.
