Annemarie Lekkerkerker

Annemarie Lekkerkerker currently serves as the Director of Translational Sciences at Septerna since October 2023. Prior to this role, Annemarie gained extensive experience at Genentech from April 2014 to October 2023, holding the position of Senior Principal Scientist in Translational Medicine, where responsibilities included biomarker development. Earlier career milestones include various roles at Galapagos between 2006 and 2013, culminating in the role of Director of Cell Biology, Target Discovery & Validation, overseeing significant programs in oncology and inflammation. Annemarie's foundational experience began at VU University Medical Center as a post-doctoral researcher from 2002 to 2006. Annemarie holds a PhD from Utrecht University and a Master of Science from Wageningen University & Research.
