Geraldine van der Auwera

Geraldine Van der Auwera is a highly accomplished bioinformatics professional currently serving as the Lead Developer Advocate at Seqera since October 2023. Prior to this role, Geraldine operated as an Independent Consultant for G4Genomics from March to October 2023. Geraldine spent over a decade at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, from April 2012 to January 2023, where responsibilities included directing outreach and communications for the Data Sciences Platform and managing communication efforts for software produced by the platform. Geraldine's earlier experience includes postdoctoral fellowships at the Université catholique de Louvain and Harvard Medical School, conducting independent research on microbial genetics, and consulting roles involving next-generation sequencing data analysis. Geraldine holds a PhD in Bio-engineering and has a strong foundation in molecular and cell biology, with a history of leading projects and securing research funding.
