Jonathan Manning

Jonathan Manning is a skilled bioinformatics professional with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Bioinformatics Engineer at Seqera Labs since October 2023, Jonathan also contributes as a maintainer for the nf-core project, having been involved since October 2022. Previously held positions include Senior Bioinformatician at DeepLife and Healx, where Jonathan led software development initiatives and modernized bioinformatics workflows. With a background as a Senior Bioinformatician at the European Bioinformatics Institute, Jonathan worked on single-cell RNA-seq analysis projects in collaboration with the Human Cell Atlas initiative. Earlier roles include Data Analyst at Edinburgh Genomics and Bioinformatician at the University of Edinburgh, complemented by experience managing production and editorial processes for the Edinburgh University Science Magazine. Jonathan obtained a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Dundee and has a solid foundation in biochemistry and research from the University of Leeds.
