Sydnee Alyster

Sydnee Alyster has extensive experience in community service and development, currently serving as a Youth Counselor at Sequel Youth and Family Services since July 2020, where work focuses on trauma-informed treatment for teens. Previous roles include Resource Development Director-Volunteer at Habitat for Humanity from March 2015 to July 2020, managing grant research and community outreach to support housing projects, and serving as a Planning Commissioner and Budget Committee member from January 2015 to July 2020. In earlier positions, Sydnee was a Senior Governance Advisor for the U.S. Department of State, contributing to provincial government development in post-Saddam Iraq, and worked as an Economic/Redevelopment Manager for the City of Turlock. Additional roles in Ceres and Stockton involved city planning, community redevelopment projects, and program facilitation in human services. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Science with a minor in Psychology from California State University, Stanislaus.
