Jennifer Lee, PhD

Jennifer Lee, PhD has worked in the field of bioinformatics since 2000. Jennifer began their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Karolinska Institutet in 2000, followed by a Postdoctoral Researcher position at the University of Dundee in 2002. In 2006, they moved to the University of California, Davis, where they served as a Programmer and Bioinformatics Lead for the Forest Genetics laboratory. From 2008 to 2020, they worked at the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) as a Scientist and Team Lead for the Medical Genetics Group projects. In 2018, they began working at Essex Management, LLC as the Director of Computational Biology and Engineering. Jennifer then moved to Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. in 2020, where they served as the Bioinformatics Manager and Lead for Bioinformatics for the Bioinformatics and Application Development Center. In 2022, they began working at Sequencing as the Head of Bioinformatics.

Jennifer Lee, PhD attained their PhD in Genetics from Iowa State University between 1994 and 2000. Jennifer obtained their BS in Genetics from the University of California, Davis between 1990 and 1994. In August 2021, they earned their Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
